The 2026 Frontline Conference & Roadeo is scheduled for July 30th - August 1st. The Frontline Conference brings together transportation agencies, vendors, and other stakeholders for training and networking in a family-friendly, two-day event.
The Michigan Small Bus Roadeo is an event to honor and celebrate the value of rural and community transit operators, the backbone of the Transportation industry. This exciting event draws drivers from around the state to compete for top scores on a course that tests skills on every level of the drivers’ abilities, with a primary focus on safe operations and passenger sensitivity. This year the Roadeo will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, MI.

New for 2026!
NEW: Two-Day Intensive Professional Dispatching and Scheduling (PDS) Certification
Led by Kelly Shawn, this extended class runs on both Friday and Saturday and certifies participants in Professional Dispatching and Scheduling (PDS). Participants who sign up MUST attend both days. Limit of 25 participants.
Class Description:
The Professional Dispatching and Scheduling (PDS) certification focuses on operational efficiency, as well as customer service techniques. Persons who successfully complete this course will have developed and demonstrated their expertise in maximizing the efficient delivery of demand responsive transportation, conveying riders’ requests into affordable and appropriate trips and in making effective use of their system’s transportation resources.
NEW: PASS Certification for Drivers
Join Michael Watts on Friday and Saturday for a focused, two-day PASS (Passenger Assistance, Safety, and Sensitivity) class to certify drivers. Participants who sign up MUST attend both days. Limit of 24 participants.
Class Description:
CTAA’s Passenger Assistance, Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) driver training program is the recognized industry standard when it comes to ensuring that your passengers are transported in the most safe, sensitive and careful manner possible.
PASS is ideal for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) trips, for ADA paratransit services, for specialized transit for older passengers, for human and social service riders — really any transportation operation where the passengers require extra care.
PASS trained drivers know how to safely and sensitively transport everyone.
